Did anyone get and understand the e-mail from AETNA today? They have amended the compensation plan to streamline admin expenses related to their beloved agents. Starting September 1st 2012, some health policies will generate commissions and others will generate a fixed fee for the agent. But they never said how much the fee will be and/or under what circumstances a fee will be paid in lieu of commissions. Probably whichever is the SMALLER amount!

300/150 per ... read the contract carefully. read it again allen and ask if aetna wrote that or did hhs

Peeler, I read it but have no idea if the contract is created by AETNA or by HHS. What wording indicates to you that it is not an Aetna-designed agent contract?
