5 Star??

Sent first app in to them...went on pending, then it showed sent to underwriter, then sent to home office for review. Is that the normal steps before an app gets approved?

I would suggest you getting into the habbit of calling them M, T, and Friday, early, around 8:30-9 am EST, and giving the new business agent each of your policy numbers and asking them the status of each one... This will ensure you are doing everything YOU can do to push through your business... Of course, I'm sure your UPLINE has already suggested you do that!

I called them today but they told me it was in underwriting, and now it says underwriting is done and it was sent to home office for review. Didn't know if that was how the process worked. Was just wondering if that meant it would probably be approved or denied. I know how the other carriers work. Certain things on site tells you that it will be approved or not. Didn't know if every app is sent to home office for review as a last step or if that meant something different.

Give them a chance to issue policies. It takes them 4-7 days to issue mine. Maybe this is the reason the lines are so busy. They probably have a bunch of agents calling in wanting to know how long until my policy is issued and how long before I get paid.

I've called them one time about this app and it was to fix the address they had wrong. I asked about the policy while they were on the phone. I am just learning their steps on the website so I will know. Go back to the senior forum and continue to give pointless information.

Mine are avg between 2-5 days....maybe its because Bradd told me to always fax in color & fill in the boxes with all CAPS!!

I sent 1 in today, Ill update on when its issued....but the last one was 3 days WITHOUT PHI, this 1 the PHI was done!

Mine have been 3-4 days lately. I never fax in color to them but I tried it the last time. I got an error saying the receiving fax doesn't accept color faxes.

My comment wasn't directed towards you but from your reaction it looks like you must fall into that group of people. Thank you for following my pointless posts in the senior forum. Would you like to follow me on twitter too?

You should be copied on emsi email to 5star saying the app has been approved. That is how you know underwriting has approved. After that it will take two days to issue
