50 Years!!!!!

I could hardly wait to get home after school to listen to Sgt. Preston of the Yukon

I saw something go by in a recent thread about you being in the hospital again.

In the event you feel the need for entertainment, I was remembering the comment about Sgt Preston and looked up this thread. Internet Archive has over 600 episodes of the Challenge of the Yukon.

The early episodes are only 15 minutes. Yukon King, the swiftest and strongest lead dog in the Northwest! One or two of those programs at a sitting provide a "lighter moment".

Also if you need to laugh, I discovered the Spike Jones flight of the bumblebee laughing song.

Hope you get well and home again soon.

People are much less friendly. When I started on the debit route in 1977 you could knock on anyones door and have a conversation. Now you will get an earful if you stop by unexpectantly. People are bombarded with mail and calls and they just don't trust no one.

One thing that hasn't changed is we can always count on either @billyb or @DonP to bring us down with their "the glass is half full shattered and empty like my soul" philosophy of life. ;)

I think I get less crap from people when cold door knocking now, than I did back in the 70's. Probably because everybody door knocked back then, now not too many want to do it.

If you're getting an earful from knocking a door, you must be doing it wrong. I door knock my leads between appointments, and most folks are friendly.
