I should use "African American" instead of "the blacks" or "blacks" because of the environment several decades ago. Ok, I like to be polite. But, I seriously need a list of words/phrases I should avoid because African Americans are not on the same page.

Your last paragraph before your BTW. Who are all these white people being unfair to others? I swear I never meet them. Everyone I know are good people who'd help their fellow man regardless of race. In fact, most do. I thought Texas was like Atlanta, very friendly to everyone. Anyway, put me in touch with them.

I offer dignity to everyone to the degree I will speak truth. Truth is good. Ignoring it moves us further from the solution.

I think the movie Crash illustrates my perspective pretty well. We all do bad things but, I like to think, we're all reasonable people with unique perspectives wanting the same things. Hopefully, that includes the best for others. What's lacking is open dialogue, honesty, and forgiveness.

I've been touching on several topics. Did you see that golden information I dropped that might interest anyone over 62 looking for low property tax? Got that kind of arrangement in your county?

It does appear, in one post, I conflated this thread with another in my exchange with Mark. He and I have been having a little back & forth.
