A Client with Health Conditions Acceptable for FE?

They do it by selling it through the mail to perfectly healthy people. They do not want it to be sold to only unhealthy ones.

As long as they have the right mix they will profit. But when agents steer the healthy away from it and the unhealthy toward it, it doesn't work for them (the company).

That's why they don't want agents involved with it.

Whole Life Insurance from Mutual of Omaha

Above is link to get their rates and they can apply online. To age 85. Can be a great tool. Had a couple where I could write the hubby but not the wife due to her age, 85 and health. MOO Direct for her. If I didn't they might both go somewhere else. Because they don't pay me as an agent, they only get the really unhealthy.

I do the same thing. Plus when we find healthy people who signed up for that plan we take them off of it and show them they qualify for a better plan.

That screws up their system though. Their actuaries don't expect the public to get educated by agents about when that plan is a good choice or a bad choice. They profit from the public making wrong choices.

I wonder what percentage of that business for healthy people singing up under guaranteed issue rates is actually replaced by agents...? My guess, a rather small percentage. However, it would be interesting to see some stats on this. Anyone happen to have such numbers...?
