A Day in the Life of a FE Pusher

You unique spelling of the word is nearly as creative as this:

COLLLAGE WORLD SERIES <---- See picture of baseball dugout

Kinda like govment, I just do not have a lot of respect for their opinion.

Btw, I think you meant "your" not "you" Arn.

In all honesty, I don't like all the labels. Liberal or conservative. Christian or Jewish. Black or white. Screw all the categories. I'm just Josh.
Spoken like a true Libertarian, Moonie Indian .. :twitchy::D

Conservative? Liberal? Who really cares? They are all going to screw us in the end! Why? Because most of them are frickin' lawyers and are persuaded by backroom deals.

I grew up in FL but moved to GA. The route back to Fl has a stretch of AL thrown in.
GA must be in plain view w/o a permit
AL can carry exposed w/o permit, but cannot transport in vehicle w/o permit unless moving or going to shooting range
FL 3 step rule, must take 3 steps to fire gun (glove compartment, holster, safety)

So my trip went like this: on the seat through GA, in AL i put it in the trunk disassembled, In FL, reassembled in holster, in the glovebox.

I got the permit to get around all that. Three adjoining states, with completely divergent laws, but they all respected each other's Concealed Carry Permits.

I got the permit simply to get around all that.

Go figure.

And what is upsetting, beyond the acrobatics involved to stay legal, was I had to depend on some website to figure all that out...it's not like the state will tell you what you CAN do...only what you can't do.

And think about it...GA wanted the cop to be able to see the gun....FL wanted to make it difficult to actually use it...but none of their laws would prevent a criminal pulling the trigger on a cop, or anyone for that matter...criminals dont obey the law, maybe one day someone will figure that out.

When I moved to Nevada we bought a truck. The salesperson felt the need to describe every one of its features. As he explained the use of the valet key, I made a joke as to what I might keep in the glove box that I would care about getting stolen.

Coming from NYC, I'm wasn't too swift in this regard. His straight-faced response: "Well for one thing, your gun".

It's not called the "Battle Born" state for nothing.....

That's the real issue lol. What good is a law that hinders a law abiding citizens ability to defend themself, especially considering the fact that the criminal is going to disregard that law anyway. They're a law breaker, that's what they do. Gun laws only affect those that are law abiding citizens in the first place.

And isn't there an amendment in our constitution that says the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed?

Would not any law that infringes upon my right to bear those arms in any way I want be unconstitutional?:1frown:

Not sure the .40 is the right load for a bear. Better than nothing but remember a bear is a hairy, unbelievably tough creature.

In fact I am not crazy about any auto loader for bear country due to the fact that you are limited to hollow points or ball ammo and autos, and their owners tend to malfunction under stress. I prefer a big revolver. .357 mag is a good choice but given my druthers, I carry a .41 magnum in bear country. Wad cutter loads. Better idea would be to carry a twelve gauge pump loaded with slugs.

Best idea of all is to give bears a wide berth.

My dad and I went hiking on a trail in Alaska years ago, they actually had a sign in/out book at the head if the trial, so they could figure out who got eaten...literally, a big book sitting in tge weather, with a place for your name, next of kin and contact info...the rangers would literally check that book for folks that never signed out, and call to check.

We became experts in clapping our hands and hollering "hey bear", I was fantasizing for anything with bullets.

The locals all had filed their sights down for bear....so it wouldn't hurt so bad when the shot bear shoved the thing up their arse. .

What in the world does that mean??? I'm so confused!:err:
