A Guy in a Wheelchair...age 36

Jerard, I have a policy available for him. For $2,000 face amount it can up paid up in 3 years, 5 years, or 10 years. Monthly premiums are $38.88 for 3 years, $23.33 for 5 years, or $11.67 for 10 years. Death benefit equals ROP plus 42.8% until it's paid up.

Great, what company is this with?

I found their site, yes, they're in FL. I'll call them in the morning. Funny thing....they have a debit side. I didn't think anyone collected in the home anymore other than United.

Yes, some of us still do! Liberty Bankers also has a home service company. That's who I do most of my debit business with. (Do some of my FE with the ordinary side, also.) Security National has a debit side as well, and I'm waiting for a call from their new area manager. A couple of my other FE companies allow me to collect a monthly premium because of my background (but don't allow everyone to do that), which is helpful especially when it's clear that they can't handle a bank draft. If I have a bank draft customer who has multiple NSF's in the first year, causing a lapse, I sometimes go back to place them with a home service product. Yes, the rates are a little higher, but the money they'll save on bank charges more than makes up for the difference.

Do you physically drive around picking up premium? How big of an area? How many people. Do people answer the door?

I do pick up the premium. Most of it is in 3 zip codes within the city of Dallas, although because of clients moving & referrals into other areas, I have collections in a somewhat larger area. Right now I have about 100 accounts like this, which isn't as many as it sounds like. Actually, in lower income urban areas, it's rare for people to not answer the door. (Usually they call out "who is it". I respond with "insurance man". They peep through the peephole or window beside the door. By my appearance they conclude I'm either telling the truth or I'm Santa Claus gone incognito!)

Yes, you pick up the premium at the home each month. As for me I was in debit 20 years ago. I had some clients that I collected on every month and never met them. They would have cash or a check along with "the book" hanging on a nail each month hidden on their porch. In most cases you really get to know your clients. I can bet Shonceman and other home service agents have been invited to grab a plate at dinnertime or to sample Mamma's soup. I kind of miss those days. I was married back then and the ex could make steak takes like Alpo*.

*No, never tasted Alpo....a talking dog told me.

I do not know if they are in FLORIDA, but Columbian MDO would write him. ROP Xs 2 years.

I believe Tommy is a rep. with Security National. They may or not be in your state...I know PA hasn't approved their plans yet.

Thanks, guys. I've contacted both companies and am awaiting a reply. Both are in Florida. I was also looking over the other Columbian products and I like their riders. I've been looking for one that I can put both a spouse and child rider on the main policy. They may be a keeper.

PM me if you want my guy's name. <I do not recruit> On the Columbian contract.

I will after I see the guy this Mon or Tues. I have rates from them for this guy and have spoken to an underwriter. They will take him as long as he's not wizzing on himself...which they wanted me to find out even though there's no heath questions about that. :1confused:

Since I wouldn't want to add a company for just one case I like their other products as well. I had been looking for a way to create a 'family plan' whereas you can put a spouse and a child term rider on the same policy. Awhile back I picked up Settlers just for the CTR but they've pissed me off 3 times already.

If you like you can PM me his number and I'll call him after the client tells me he want's that plan.

And thanks
