A Question for EFES Agents (past or Present)?

I call up any lead no matter how old and treat it just like a new lead. I don't mention that it's old. Most of these people are serial mailers and they have probably sent one in to someone in the last 2 weeks.

I just met with a guy that was an over 2 year old lead. The guy was 62 went he sent in the lead card. He is 64 now. When i called him I said the same thing I would have said if he had sent it in last week.

He didn't even notice that it was 2 years old until we were sitting at the kitchen table. It wasn't an issue. I did tell him that it would have been cheaper 2 years ago.:laugh:

Stuff like that is only an issue if you make it one.

jdeasy,

do you get any renewals with EFES?

It's not just "if you have a bad couple of weeks." You can have several excellent weeks and then boom; chargebacks and a slightly slower week and you can be in trouble. They do exactly what the say they'll do: nothing more and nothing less.

One problem I had was they started my mailings in the ghetto. SO three months later even though I had sold a LOT in the ghetto and I was finally getting to do the rural areas; those sales from the ghetto started charging back BIG time.

NO I did NOT oversell either. It's the nature of the beast.

Yes. Renewals will vay with the carriers and your contracts. I get anywhere from 5% to 14%.

They have a deal with Americo where they pay 10% more the first year and no renewals. I don't like that at all. I have been working on renegotiating that deal. I would just as soon not have the extra 10% in year one.

That's the only company they have doing that. I sure hope it doesn't spread.

JDeasy,

That could very well be the most profitable advice ever given to agents working leads!

I second that!!!

I'm sure both would entertain the thought of upping your contract. If not, you can always look elsewhere, there are tons of FE companies to write for.

You are right that if you are producing both will work with you on contract levels. However, it may not always be simple and easy to "look elsewhere". I know EFES has a policy of not issuing releases. Not sure about Securus.

i dont like that deal with americo either. i just found out yesterday that i get no renewal on all the americo business i submitted in the past 6 months. not good. since 90% of my business was with americo.

u get up to 14% in renewal and your 1st yr commission is 100%?

My commission is 100% or more with most companies. A couple it's a little less. The highest renewal I have there is 14%. Most are in the 7-8% range.
