AARP "GI" Underwritten by NYL

I hate losing cases to AARP but they sometimes make the most sense along with MoO for GI.

For AARP The premium is scheduled to never increase but just show her the disclosure below the rate sheet. Premiums are not guaranteed.

Your best bet is a company youre getting contracted with, and that's Presidential. 10K for $90.21 , you will be paid as earned.

This is what I do on these cases. Go in there and show her the AARP disclosure about No premium guarantee. Then Sell yourself, financial rating, and premium guarantee. Then make a joke about how you personally hate giving any of your money to those commies at AARP. Make a light joke of it yet be serious, and hope she agrees with that way of thinking.

There is no instance where the AARP plan would make sense for anyone. If they need whole life, AARP doesn't have whole life. If they need term, there are many better options out there. If they need GI there are many better options out there.

No way an educated person would ever buy AARP.

This is so wrong!

AARP has been VERY good for me!

Plus I get hotel discounts.

I want to agree with you, but I think in some instances I dont blame the client for wanting to do AARP. In this case for example. She can do 62.05 for 10K. Or about $90 with someone else. Thats almost $300 a year. Lets pretend like AARP has to do an increase in 10 years on her particular group. It would probably not even increase up $90 per month, but even if it did, she just saved $3000 in the last 10 years because she took the better rate with them. I hate AARP too, but the product does have its niches, just like a lot of companies. Their very difficult to beat rate wise on the GI, and Male Smkrs because they blend all their rates.

I never say no to a case though. I would never say, I think you should go with AARP. Lay the facts out there and try to get the case.

Jdeasy, Do you sell Foresters?

That same person Male smoker age 65 could get $10,000 WHOLE-LIFE from Vantis for $64 monthly. I think that's well worth the difference. They could get MOO for a couple dollars less.

Whole-Life is ALWAYS a better option than AARP non-guaranteed universal life. I ALWAYS sell guarantees. I tell people don't EVER trust ANY insurance company to do what you want if it's not guaranteed. And having AARP involved makes it even LESS trustworthy.

Question is, can she GET Presidential? She's taking oxygen occasionally for her COPD and she is diagnosed Congestive heart failure. Those two things pretty much knock her out of most companies. Not to mention being overweight and diabetic. I don't know a thing about Presidential, only that we are working on getting contracted with them, but that could be weeks away yet. The only thing I could sell her 'tomorrow' is NGL, and I'd have to go through my upline (she's willing to write it and give me the commission though). And that is around $115 a month. Neither foresters or forethought will touch her, and that's the only other two I have.

I did an online quote for Vantis, and it says she can get 15K for $77 a month with the Guaranteed Golden Life plan. Or 10K for $52. Does this sound right? If so, it's the best deal I've found so far. Might have to work on getting contracted with them as well.....

Yes, I write a little bit of Foresters. They are not a favorite of mine. As for the AARP, I can say without any trepedation that there is NEVER a case to made for them. An educated person would never chose them under any circumstance.

Just looked into the Mutual of Omaha Guaranteed Issue. Gotta say, it looks good. Why can't we sell it? Wahhh. Ok, moving on..... I can't find anywhere that it won't pay out the full amount within the first two years. Will it really pay full face value right away? Or am I missing something? I may have to call the 800 #....

Windi, quote for Vantis was correct. Let me know if you need a contract.

It's ROP +10% for the first two years for natural deaths. It pays full face from day 1 for accidental death.

It's true GI. It can be bought by someone in a nursing home, in the hospital, on their deathbed, doesn't amtter. They ask one medical question, "how you gonna pay for this?".:D

It can only be sold direct by going throuh MoO, {actually it's UoO}. There are a few pockets around the country where captive MoO agents can sell it. They stopped those in our area from selling it about 3 years ago.

Nothing comes close to the price of MoO except for Vantis in some age brackets. Vantis is also a true GI. Agents can sell Vantis. Brad has an offer in the offer section.

I gave Brad's card to a lady yesterday to check into signing up for Vantis. I have no idea if she will follow up or not.
