AARP Got to Love'um

Getting this thread back on track, which no one on here cares about, I've only had one person, so far, that wanted off AARP. I switched him to MoO.

I have turned in 9 AARP apps in the past week...6 PDP's....2 MA's and 1 med-supp!

WOOHOO!

Now back to the hammering.

I have had about 4 people in the last two weeks explain to me their hatred for AARP. I just let them know that I carry multiple plans and have more than one ace up my sleve.

And to Yoda, I understand what you are saying about telling the client that this plan will affect primarily MA's. I have told them this and it doesn't matter, all of their senior friends are doing it so they are doing it too.

I'm with you Russ.
7 AARP Med Supps for 12.01.09 and currently up to 22 stand alone PDP's submitted for 1.01.09. Haven't sold a MA as yet.

FYI on AARP Membership. You need membership to apply for a Med supp. No membership needed for a PDP.
I joined AARP several years ago when I turned 50. I'm a Republician. Why you ask??? The discounts on hotels and car rentals.
The problem with joining AARP is all the crap they send you each month!! You can call AARP and have them, "suspend all marketing offers") All I receive in the mail now is the yearly dues request.

I'll now return you to your program already in progress.

I like reading their AARP Bulletin magazine. A lot of interesting stuff in there.

Now back to regular programming.

I agree, there is a market for it, I actually had to get contracts so my agents wouldn't lose the AARP sale.

Write all you need to, service your clients properly and the money takes care of itself.

Dude, you are so late to this party, it's actually funny.

Hey huckster what up! I finally clicked on to your web site the other day to see what was up with your scam. What a joke! Ha Ha Ha! Let me see if I got your story right now. You are on this site trying to recruit agents to take your $3000 dollar sales training course over the net. Now really how many of these guys are you going to suck into that at $3000 a shot. You know if you were even 1/5th as good a salesman as you claim you are you could make that $3000 dollare 3 times as easy just going out and selling a LTC plan. Or are you going to tell me you could do that but since you are such a wonderful caring soul you want to spend your time helping agents?:DTrick or treat did I say that yet!

Im sorry its just Frankie is so full of crapola its tough not to comment. I mean really who has a list of people laying around that they have talked to made up of AARP med supp holders? That list dont exist or should not exist. First of all you should of sold them a better supp when you talked to them the first time. Second of all the odds of 2 couples calling you out of the blue to switch their AARP supps in the span of a week or two are zero point ! Excuse me for thinking out loud! Sorry:1baffled:

I know I'm new, but your post sounds more full of chit than Frank's does. First, you can't sell everyone at first contact, unless you're selling on price point instead of what's best for them. Second, if you've kept those "not right now" contacts & put your name in front of them a few times throughout the year... you're the one they think of first when their current company pisses them off somehow. If you're not getting a no occasionally, or a no turning into a yes occasionally, you're not selling right. Just my 2 cents.

Yoda, I actually just pulled up a list of AARP med supp.policy holders in Your Insurance office. I have compiled these over the last 18 months when talking to people that were not ready to change or leave AARP. The list is up to about 83 AARP members. A letter will be going out to them Monday with Mutual of Omaha's rates. Being in the Bible belt, many conservative Baptist are dropping AARP like flies. They do not like what Obama stands for. So, I have replaced more AARP med supps in the last 6 months than I had in the last 3 years. It is just called taking advantage of an opportunity my friend.
