Hi Lori,

Just joined & just saw your post so you should be hitting your stride by now as an independant agent. Considering doing the same thing & would appreciate your experience on how you transitioned & what area gave you the most difficulty in your new start-up business. Did you specialize in any one area? Seems like the toughest part will be setting up the marketing to provide leads & getting interested prospects... I'm good in Med Sups & LTC and do a few annuities once & a while. Don't want to just be a lead junky though so got to get used to the idea of "independent marketing" also. I'll have about $7000 or $8000 in renewals till the end of the year and was thinking of hanging in till then. But, then I think, if I sell one or two good annuities in that time the comm. would make up for that... Anyway, don't want to rattle on. Congrats & pm me with some info if that would be more in line for this forum.
