Adult Family Homes

No, it's not pointless because, unlike some threads on here, it actually applies to more situations than just the one originally listed. Just because this couple may not qualify doesn't mean others won't.

good point.

medamerica's flex cash is only for home care, thoug, not facility care, so this thread is pointless in that there's no traditional product that will pay for any type of facility.

if someone wants a "cash benefit" for facility care, they'll need to get Minnesota Life's UL/LTC policy or Nationwide's policy. Nothing else will pay cash for facility care (and neither of those products will insure someone with kdiney disease).

That is why I asked about the Kidney disease.

So he is un insureable, so they will self insure that risk.

Now, do they really not want to get a policy on her because it may not cover "Adult Family Homes" ?

Flex Cash pays cash for home care & ALF's.

However, if you qualify for home care or ALF benefits with Flex Cash and you're getting a check every month, and MedAmerica does not ask for bills and/or receipts why can't that money be used for an AFH?

If one qualifies for care, the cash can be used for anything or..... nothing.
