Hi all! I am brand new to this site and to the world of insurance sales. I have yet to even take my exam but have been slaming my head full of info and hope to take it soon.
I am going for independent sales of life & health and have been offered a job from a long time family friend who has been in the businesses for over 20 years and wants nothing more than to help me succeed in the business. That in itself I feel is a blessing but I also realize that it's a long hard road ahead.
I currently live in VA but I am getting married next summer with hopes that me and my fiance can relocate elsewhere out of state.
My question is whether or not it's a good idea to get started in my hometown for one year (where I do have connections) just to pick up whatever I've generated and start all over again a year later somewhere completely different.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Thanks
