Come on Winter charging more would be discrimination under Obamas definition.

It will be expensive for sure but Obama assures us that he is going to cut Medicare as a way to help pay for it. Somehow I think he will end out parsing and nuancing that a little differently in the next few weeks, unless he has a death wish of some sort.

it all comes back to personal responsibility. No body wants to have it these days. I want cheap/free health insurance, but I don't want to make good health decisions. I want everyone else to pay for my poor decisions...

Without bringing responsiblity into the mix, like auto insurance, it'll implode or we'll go the way of Canada and the UK with severe rationing. Seems no one wants to make the tough decisions that need to be made.

In Maine the government forced GI upon us. Almost overnight all the carriers left and now there is just Anthem.

Ironically those who wanted this system are now saying we need the public option because there is no competition in the state and the big bad insurance carrier Anthem dominates everything. Yeh, well this is how socialism works. The one or two biggies in any industry that can cut a deal with the government win. If there is any reason to think this will not happen on the national level if we go that route, I can't think of it.
