Agency Producer Compensation?

Currently i have a PC agency and am in the process of trying to hire an agency producer or two. Currently trying to figure out what compensation to put in place What type of split do you recommend 70/30 new business 45/55 renewal?? Maybe production bonuses? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I'm starting an agency as well and was wondering what to split the commissions. I am the principal, but not the owner of the business, so if anyone knows what the split with owner should be I would love some advice. Plus we also have a broker coming over from another agency and in NY brokers can't sign binders so what should her commission split with me be? I need some help! thanks a bunch I love this forum it is sooo helpful!
