Ya they do..I had an *** friend almost get kicked out of College for not siting one paragraph. He made an honest mistake, and the Professor failed him and sent him to the Honor Code Committee. I hear it's getting worse and worse all the time...Glad I got out when I did
That exact thing happened to me. Left out one citation (for a 2 sentence quote) on a 5 page paper and failed and got sent to the honor committee. Sad thing is it was only on a first draft we had to hand in and I had the citation in my notes, just left it off the paper.

Copyscape Plagiarism Checker - Duplicate Content Detection Software is a good way to check as well. I've had to ask several agents to take down content they copied word for word from my site and 2 of those agents were forum members.

Get your site copyrights and make who ever is stealing the info make them take it down. Legally they have to if it is word for word.
