All Quiet on the Homefront

I'm thinking that it might be better that this law stays in place. I see huge opportunity:

PPACA: Feds Say Their Exchanges Will Love Agents | LifeHealthPro
HHS will provide licensed agents and brokers with a portal to the FFE Web site if those producers meet HHS standards, officials say.
Producers can use the portal to help individuals apply for eligibility for enrollment in a QHP and for insurance affordability programs, and if applicable, select and enroll in a QHP through an FFE, officials say.
"To the extent permitted by a state," HHS wants to work with Web-based brokers that are helping consumers chose health plans online, officials say.
HHS intends to use an application programming interface (API) to help Web brokers help individuals enroll in exchange health plans through an FFE, officials say.

"To the extent permitted by a state" is the phrase that worries me. IL is notoriously anti-broker, so I don't see us having a place in the new system. Other states will be fine for brokers, but not here, at least under this system.

Once the SCOTUS renders ObamaCare null and void, all the companies will not only return our commissions to the 2005 levels, but they'll add 5% as a "welcome back present."

In addition, it will be sunshine and lollipops and rainbows forever and ever. I love you all!

I just read that over 475 staff members assist the Supreme Court justices. Given human nature, it's amazing that nothing has leaked out of there regarding the PPACA decision. It's already been made, they're just writing up their summaries, or whatever you call it.

It's too bad that there are no longer any news people or organizations with the resources, or trust that's required to get an inside advance scoop on a decision that will affect almost everyone in this country.

yupp, extremely valuable info right there.. stock market implications and IMO if its thrown out ( fingers crossed ) will ultimately decide who our next President will be. I'm fairly certain the individual mandate will be tossed but the real questions is what remains. Tick Tock, Tick Tock

I think it's because only an *** would still be selling health insurance.

I don't mean YOU, but everyone else.

I disagree. In the last 2 months i wrote over $600,000 in Annuity premium from fact finding on health insurance appointments. Translation=$44,000 COMMISSION in my pocket. See, thats the difference in how you look at it. Use the health appointment and set it up for other products and services. Then from that, get referrals and so on and so on ......

I bet only the 9 nine justices and their law clerks have seen anything related to the decision. Clerking for the Supreme Court is a very coveted position. You are a shoe in for a big name firm in DC, New York, etc. Why in the world would you mess that up by leaking a potential decision?
