Hi,

I'm new to the Forums and new to the industry. I'm a new PC agent working for a captive agency. I have about 10 years of real estate corp. sales experience (both residential and commercial), but I'm trying to find my way in insurance now. It's been very humbling. I'm looking for wise guidance and information from all of you. I hope to give back as well.

I do have a few questions . . .

I find property insurance intriguing, but I'm not that excited about auto insurance. Are there PC agents who only do property and no auto. Can they make a good living with such a narrow focus. Hurricane coverage here in the islands substantially raises most premiums.

I'm working in a call center type of environment which is new to me. We have a lot of incoming calls, but I'm missing the interaction with people I had in my previous sales positions. I feel as though I'm losing my contacts. Any advice?

Thanks for any responses, or as we say here "Mahalo!"

Welcome! I am not a P&C agent but I think it would be hard to do property only especially since some companies offer additional discounts if both P&C and auto are placed with them. Have you every considered going the commercial insurance route? That might be more to your liking.
