Anyone Work for Ameri-life?

So even though I haven't started training with amerilife and was just getting paperwork done including the blues, I did tell them to hold my paperwork, I wanted to go out with someone to do a house call... They did not like this and told me I should know whether I wanted to do it or not. Haha so with my blues on hold... And then telling them I didn't want to work with them should I still be worried, I tried calling the CEO and the office both ignored me, but I will be dropping by to give a written notice just make sure everything is fine... Can they just process my paperwork even though I was still hesitant and now not wanting to work for them???

Yes, they can still process your paperwork. However, if you contact the companies directly, and explain you were not "fully informed" about the nature of the contracts and tell them, "Now that I understand what is going on, I do not wish to be contracted with [insert insurance company name here]." Most insurance companies don't want any part of a contract that had "fraud in the inducement" tied to it, and they will kill the contracting process if it hasn't been finalized yet. Do you have your insurance license yet? There isn't much a company can do with you anyway, until you have a license.

No I dont have a license yet, I never went through the training..I was only there for 2 days mostly doing paperwork and not doing alot really. So if theres no license..then really do the blues matter? I just dont understand why they would still process the paperwork when I have told 3 different people that I dont wish to go any further with the company, just to screw with me?? haha and I dont know half the companies that I filled out paperwork for.. one was united healthcare that i know for sure the other one I never heard of...

They will screw with anyone just to kill their competition and keep you out of business for as long as possible. I have seen it happen time and time again.

You are OK as you are not yet licensed but I would put it in writing that you do not wish to proceed.

Send it to Colin St. Pierre/ Vice President of Operations @ AmeriLife 2650 McCormick Road Clearwater, FL 33759 and cc the DOI just for good measure

OP, you have saved another soul- good job.

Return receipt requested. You don't want them to say later that they never received your request.

More good advice. Send certified mail with return receipt requested so you have proof of someone signing for your letter. See how much work you're already doing and money you're spending and you never even worked for them...but you signed the Blues without understanding them. Not good.

Let's make sure others will learn from your experience. Agents beware of AmeriLife.

Thank you for sharing on this thread and good luck in finding a great FMO- you will find some really useful information on this site!

I just applied for an office job at Amerilife in Clearwater does anyone know how they treat their office employees?

Maybe you'll be like the the Assistant Vice Presidents who zipped up the AmeriLife corporate ladder- Jessica Rodriguez and Laura Denny- amazing! Such young, beautiful women in the insurance business since 2010 and 2009 respectively and now in corporate management at AmeriLife Careers.

Good luck to you notsosure- job hunting stinks but please keep looking and find a great place to work where you will be respected and appreciated.

Are you intimating something? If so, please post pictures.

pcb, I have learned from you to post only facts, to be fair to all that is a fair way to post, so that's what I do (I say hmmmm to myself now, tis true).

You can view photos at the AmeriLife Careers website- go to Our Team. Still learning this i pad so can't post links yet- sorry.

Last I knew Ms. Rodriguez was David Rainwater's secretary, now she's Asst VP.

Never knew Ms. Denny- but she even graduated from a college.
