Approaching Restaurants

Restaurants and Hotels man... two very very tough ones to get. Good luck, I dont mess with them.

I'm new to the forum and am always looking for advice... Any reason you don't chase these two classes? Restaurants are some of my favorite targets (with a moderate success rate). Hotels do seem to be tougher. Just would enjoy hearing other thoughts and favorite classes to get after.

Sorry, friend. Wrong feller. My name is Clint. Howdy, yourself!

I had a friend asking me the same question they same day you posted. I figured if I was wrong, no harm. BUT if I was right he would be watching over his shoulder for a week lol

As others have hinted, restaurants are tough unless you already have a connection to them. The poor owners get hit up by 5-7 salesmen a day including every newbie farmers agent withing 25 miles.

There is one agency in my area that does very well with restaurants marketing via fax blasts with a closed program that is pretty competitive. They send out hundreds of faxes a day and get return rate of less than 1%.

Isn't fax spamming illegal?

I was going to reply on this but reading Bert's response pretty much sums it up. Your chances with these are slim unless you have an in with the owner or run in the same crowd.
