Hello everyone,
Once a an application for a policy goes into underwritting then on average what is the aprroval rating? What percentage is accepted when it comes to regular whole life and what percentage is accepted with whole life final expense insurance?

Thank you!

If you get the correct answer to every question and do your own field underwriting I would say that 90% of all applications get issued. If you are not sure (customer or carrier) ask before you submit. It lessens the chance that you have to go back or get a decline. Medical issues come up that people don't 'remember' and often their height isn't enough for their weight but that is on you for not knowing the build guidelines
Issues which have caused me to lose an application are client won't schedule the para-med, didn't remember the drugs they were on, forgot about the surgery they had and why, won't answer the phone to answer underwriting call.
Issues where I knew not to submit the application: drug use, 400lb of person in front of me breathing heavy and sweating profusely, and the lady who asked if the policy would pay if she committed suicide after the contestability period
