Asurea Group

Recently got an offer from Asurea Group selling FE and Mortage Protection. They use in house direct mail leads which they claim are the best in the biz. I have done a lot of research on Asurea and I see some mixed reviews. I have a strong sales background but this is my first insurance position. Is Asurea Group truly churn and burn or is it a great entry level opportunity??

They use to have a good "Fixed Cost" $28 Final expense lead but have discontinued it. I was told by one of their ex agents that they only do Mail Drops at a cost per thousand now unless you are taking a hit on contract levels.

They have decent training calls and some good carriers.

If they are offering you Street Level contracts, they may be a decent option but there are still other places to look into.

I firmly believe training, affordable leads, and a street level contract are what it takes for most of us to succeed. Not sure you will get all of that from Asurea!

It's a W2 position, they offer salary and a sliding scale commissions up to 70%. The leads do not seem too over priced, $10 for FE $18 for MP. Eventually if I like the field enough I could see myself going Indy and getting those street level prices. Being a new agent I like the idea of base + commission. Any CURRENT Asurea Agents out there???

My experience with Asurea was pretty good until the 'wholesaler' I was under left. The next one that they put me under was an inefficient AH. I would definitely make sure that you can work with the guy you're assigned to, and if not, don't be shy about asking for someone else. You also might want to put a feeler on the forum to get other Asurea agent's experience with their manager.

That doesn't sound bad for an agent who is looking for that type of setup.

I sat with and trained with them out of curiosity last yr. The assigning of commissions is the only catch I would shy away from
