Pros and Cons of BackNine Insurance? Looking at a lot of options for a life insurance set up for a new independent agent and just getting some first hand accounts. Thanks.

They have great technology. But when it comes to back office support they lack badly. Would get short nonhelpful responses days after asking. There is plenty of organizations out there with great technology that will actually support you.
This might be an unpopular opinion but stay away from "family" organizations where their executives are all their siblings or children. Nepotism is alive and well at a lot of IMO's. Organizations should put the best quality people in those positions, not just kin. The entitlement really takes a toll on their staff and trickles down to the support and overall business. BackNine is guilty of that, along with other recruiters on these forums. (the main guy recruiting for his IMO, we all know who he is).
Do your research, and don't be afraid to IMO hop till you find the right fit. Even get a couple to diversify your business, that will actually help ensure you can scale and truly be successful, not taken advantage of.

I love Back9. Their quoting platform is the best. It works over the phone, face to face, or you can email quotes, and the client can revisit the quote later on and tinker with the inputs which is a great selling feauture. Todd the product specialist is great at answering questions and is always available. Their back office is as good as any other for case management and contracting. The only downside is low compensation; wish they were @ streetlevel.

I wasn't able to find any information with regarding compensation on their website.. Do you have any recommendations for an imo/mga who offer fair compensations?

Email them directly. It's not 10-15%. I don't know where THAT number came from, but it can't be remotely true.

If you want to ask for someone, ask for Reid Tattersall. He used to intern at MassMutual back in 2008 when I was there.
