BACON IS FOR CLOSERS...

You didn't have the cooked right. Gizzards need not be rocks. Boil water then lower to a simmer for 45 to 90 minutes. Drain them and throw them in the frig. Once cooled, fry 'em crispy. Tender and crispy ... so tempting ...

I use smoked tumeric as a seasoning on chicken and fish and pork. I do not like to drink my food though, but that's me.

I can't help but think they will still come out like a piece of rubber! I love livers, but HELL NO on the gizzards!

He is not talking about the gizzard being rock hard, he is talking about the rocks, grit or gravel that the gizzard contains to grind the chickens food. so that it is digestible..

Who doesn't clean their gizzards before cooking them?
If you get them from a fried chicken joint, sometimes you get a piece of grit in the gizzards. I've had them only once many years ago, and sue enough got a little grit. Haven't had any since! But I can put a hurtin' on a large order of livers with a generous treatment of cayenne pepper sauce!

BTW, I know fried chicken livers aren't Keto, but they're REALLY close, right?

Keto if not breaded. But probably very close even if breaded. The problem would be for those folks where even a small amount of processed carb could be enough to trigger a binge.

Recent research has shown that alcoholism and carb/sugar addiction are very closely related, and the emotional underpinnings of alcoholism might not be nearly the causal factor that has long been supposed.

All I know is that if I eat a doughnut, the whole damn dozen will follow quicker than Joey Chestnut can down a Nathan's hot dog.
