A member left Medigap for a Humana MAPD effective 1/1/2024, primarily for the hearing aid benefit. New HA are working well, but her favorite dermatologist is not in network (and won’t even bill as OON). One option is to exercise her trial right and go back to her Medigap plan as soon as March 1.
Would Humana try to recoup some or all of her hearing aid benefit they paid?
If Humana has not already paid the HA provider, could there be issues with payment after she disenrolls?
What other implications should this member consider as she looks at her options?
