Thing is, if they weren't on the bubble, then this loss shouldn't knock them out....but they are on serious life support now.

We'll see. I think the absolute only way they have a chance to make it in is if they beat Florida on Saturday and win the SEC tournament.

We are squarely on the buble now and rightfully so. Even this UK fan would ask where you get the "mighty"? This is not a very good basketball team. They are a disgrace to the UK uniform.

This team proves how meaningless it is to be able to win 20 games in college basketball. We will still probably get into the torurney but it's not deserved. Losing Noel was the death knell. he was not only the best player by far, and top 5 in the country, he was the heart and soul of the team.

I believe we will still find a way to make the tourney. That says more about the sorry state of college basketball this season that about the UK team.

I'll be in Nashville next week trying to root these clowns into doing something good but my heart ain't in it.

And ain't just this season JD, with the "1 & done" rule, college BBall just isn't the same, that's why my friends & I have lost interest. There's no "teams" that have developed over 3-4yrs & are great now... U have a lot of good teams, but never any great teams at all! College Balls ratings are tanking... Besides March Madness, it's mostly unwatchable.

Last year the UK team was great. As was UNC until their point guard got hurt right before the toruney. Kansas was really good, Ohio State was really good. Syracuse was great until Fab Melo got hurt.

Any of those teams from last year would have a cakewalk this season.

There is not one single team this year that is head and shoulders above anyone. Gonzaga??? is number 1. IU cut the nets down after a loss a couple of days ago. And that was for securing a tie, a TIE for the Big 10 regular season. Cutting the nets down after a loss? For what was once such a proud program.

Notre Dame and Ark. rushed the court after beating this UK team. A not even ranked UK team and they rush the court?

One thing I will say for UK fans, we have never rushed the court after beating anyone and we never will.

You can't blame the kids for going pro but I do hate this too...I'm a huge 'Cuse fan and losing Carmelo was tough but he brought us a Championship. I'm guessing that Kentucky fans felt the same way about Anthony Davis (except that you guys have a lot more experience cutting down the nets).

I still watch most of the Syracuse games but I don't find myself watching random games on a Tuesday any more. College B-ball is only interesting during March and/or if your team has one of those "one and done" players.

Long gone are the days of teams being together for 3-4 years and having a tourney run over the years. What is just as sad is seeing a one and done get to the NBA and they can't hit a 12-15 foot wide open jump shot because they rely on pure athleticism.

Teams are watered down and boring to be honest. I grew up watching the Fab 5 and the FLintstones...talk about chemistry and teamwork that changed basketball.

The Fab 5 changed the game, brought variety, passion, and some hip hop style that you could route for. Not only where they good, but they had chemistry and said, we are doing things are way!.. That is partly what is missing in the game. Seems now the kids are mellow yellow and just have no unique qualities. ....FIND ME SOME DENNIS RODMAN!!!!

The real "Fabulous 5" was UK's team that won the NC. Not a bunch of mouthy pretenders at Mich that never won anything.

I also loved how Rodman played on the court and you have to go no further than this season and Nerlens Noel before he got hur to see that kind of passion and all out play. Hell, he got hurt on a hustle play trying make up for a turnover made by another player.

Or you could go back to last season and Michael Kidd Gilcrest. No one has played harder than that guy. He was the number 2 pick in the draft with limited skills. Drafted purely on work ethic.

Watch Kevin Love play now. Those hustle guys are still here. We don't get to see them in college for long but that's the nature of the game today.
