Best FE Company

Yes, I wish Settlers gave you a decision at the POS. The rates are better with RNA and they gave you that decision on the spot without guesswork. However, this could be a game changer. It seems Settlers is a better company for the agent and the client. Maybe not over RNA, but its starting to look better and better. They have a real nice 10pay and single pay as well.
They do give you a decision while you are in the house in many cases. In my case, the wife was on the spot for a gold plan but the husband was referred to underwriting for a silver plan (wrote silver because of weight issues). The POS agent said she was not getting enough info from the MIB and ScriptCheck to make the decision on him. She did say she thought it would be issued but couldn't tell me for sure.

I don't use Settlers now because they don't do replacements in Ky. But, when RNA has their upcoming rate increase then I might just have to use Settlers anyway.

Guess you could use them for your non replacement business.. If they don't change they are a joy to do business compared to many of the other companies. Very friendly, efficient staff that seems to sincerely care about helping the agent and the policyholder. :)

I wouldn't write business with a company just to make a trip but they only require 40K for their convention.. Usually somewhere in the SE US..

I could but I don't the fact that they won't do replacements here. I have found that the companies that won't do replacements are a bit on the squirrelly side. The ones I know that won't are LH, AmAm, Shenandoah, {when in business}, and Settlers.

From what I've heard Settlers doesn't belong in that group but they have put themselves there.

Do I understand the KY law in that in force coverage does not mean GI for replacements but just that the incontestability clause is waived? If that is right, then it means that a company can underwrite replacements very tightly, MIBs, ScriptChecks, and therefore should not being accpeting that much additional risk or am I wrong about that?

They can't even contest suicides one day after the policy is issued if it's replacement. That scares some companies.
