Best FE Company

When your star pitcher is getting 180 million it has a tendency to drive up pricing.

Over the years I have always found the football crowds in Detroit were much more into their drinking. Baseball is a much slower paced game and personaly I hate warm beer.

Just bring your own shine disguised in a water bottle.

Foresters use to be good- not so sure their PHI is any better than it was..

Foresters use to e-mail me and give me free leads all the time, clients in and around the tampa area looking for an agent- made a ton of money- If it weren't for that new PHI I'd probably still use them-

But I find most of my clients are either hard of hearing or just not to bright upstairs- many have no high school education and seem to can't answer a simply question from Apptical without F'n it up

Really been on a Americo kick the last 8 months- I really like their app- you don't have to fill out any bank info- it's quick, no PHI and I can get in and out of a house real fast-

On a clean app I'm paid in 3 days-, Only had 1 issue of other than applied for offer- but most of my stuff goes through quick with no issue- and their rates are right there and better than most

I just had a death claim thru Foresters that is contestable. The funeral home went ahead and did the service, but I know they will want paid soon. Foresters told me it could take up to 90 days. I know I will get all kinds of grief from the widow and I don't blame her. Wish us luck.

It takes at least 9 months for Foresters to settle a contested claim.

Well contesting a claim and paying it are two different things. Hopefully they will.

Foresters is not a bad company but its all the changes that put them under par. They do have some great member benefits and decent rates.

If they clean up the PHI process and clean house on there home office, and not contest so much claims they might start to get back on top.

Americo seems to contest a lot in the two year window so I am not that all confident in that company to be writing a bunch of business with them. Transamerica's new FE polilcy has me still using them for now. I feel a bit more comfortable with them over Americo.. They also are very easy to write, no PHI no meds. I haven't got a policy denied yet and all of them where jet issued.

What do mean no meds? I noticed on their agent guide that maintenance drugs are not considered treatment and I have always had trouble understanding which Rx constitutes treatment and it seems that it varies by carrier.

If you want a company that actually PAYS the claims during the 2-year contestibility then look no further than Settlers. They are the only company that actually sends out a brochure for agents to show the public with that very information. They have around 1% that don't get paid and you're always going to have that. Just smokers claiming they don't smoke will account for that.

Just used the Settlers Enhanced "Know Before You Go" POS for the first time. One was approved and one was referred to underwriting. They seem to go beyond the questions on the app. They asked for details about every medication that was pulled up by the script check even if it wasn't something that would have been used to treat one of the conditions asked about on the app

However, don't guess I can complain because when we compared a couple of companies, I told them that I preferred Settlers even though the premium was a little higher ($198 per month compared to $172) because I had confidence in them that there would be no problems at claim time. They chose Settlers for that reason.

Yes and it's true. It's more frustrating for the agent writing the business because Settlers is picky on accepting people. But once they are accepted it would have to be obvious fraud for them to not pay the claim.

Yes, I wish Settlers gave you a decision at the POS. The rates are better with RNA and they gave you that decision on the spot without guesswork. However, this could be a game changer. It seems Settlers is a better company for the agent and the client. Maybe not over RNA, but its starting to look better and better. They have a real nice 10pay and single pay as well.
