Best FE Company?

This thread is like debating who the best looking female is today? You will have 20 diff answers because we all have diff criteria. I'm an old guy and I'd vote for one of the super models of days gone by, while a 20 something dude would find that selection to be crazy. Yep, they are all beautiful ladies but we just have a diff way of looking at things.

The BEST FE company is the one that will accept the client at a reasonable price, with the most reasonable terms; (hopefully immed covg, or the best avail) and this criteria will vary from client to client... so there is NO BEST FE company. I'd suggest that you seek out a thread of 3 or 4 months ago that discussed the best 3 companies, and the thread assumed that you could only have 3, and which 3 companies hit on the broaest need based on u/w, cost, service, etc... if I remember correctly.

BTW, I'd probably go for Christy Brinkley, but then our politics wouldn't match so if we were spending more than one night together my u/w would reject her...

Don't just look at first year commissions, look at the total over 10 years too. Two companies both paying the same first year could be over 20 points different over 10 years.

As long as the companies are paying the same the first year then the higher renewals are the way to go. But most companies that have lower renewals have increased first year, then the question is will the renewals overcome the larger first year payment. To compute that you have to factor in the persistency for each year up to 10 years to figure out which will pay the most money. If due to lapse, surrender or death, you average loosing 5% of the year 1 in force business each year, then you have 60% in force at the end of 10 years. (At 10% loss it would only be 35%. still in force after year 10)
