Best Websites For Free Photos?

Hello. Does anybody have a recommendation for which website(s) would be best for downloading without charge photos.

Every so often, I use a photo in a local ad or something like that.

It's gonna be tough. Not only have I dealt with this issue but my sister as a web designer deals with it every day. Basically, she pays for photos.

There are a lot of sites that lure you in touting "free stock photos" but a quick search reveals they are not fee. It's either subscription based or their free photos some retain the domain name; "freestockphotos.com" which is cheesy.

Medium resolution is free? Yes it is but...their TOS:

So yes, you can find free photos but you'll be linking back to their site.

I bought a few discs of them from comstock about 8 years ago. Cost a few hundred dollars and I can use them over and over. Well worth the price. I think each disc had 30 pictures on it in low med and high resolution.

I'll do a quick Google image search to find a quick pic. There's a thin line here between what's considered fair use. Obviously a lot of websites feature pics they didn't pay for.

Not so much a blog, but local ads. I realize that most pics you see online are free, but...

For example...I like this pic, but I suppose it can't be used.

Maybe she just gets them off the internet by Googling photos. I guess that's what most people do.
