Briefcase?

Well maybe I'm trying to cram too much stuff in my case. I've got like 8 companies in there for FE and med supps. I have a Manila folder for apps, replacement forms, hippa if need be all in one accordion file for each carrier. But I also have a misc folder that has rate sheets, brochures, Rx list etc.

I've got a case for the car that'll hold everything I need. Maybe I just keep 1-2 of everything I absolutely need and the rest in the car.

This is the bag I carry for school:

Amazon.com: SOLO Vinyl Quad Gusset Dowel Brief: Electronics

I really like it, and I carried it to an appt the other day cause I needed my laptop. I was able to carry my laptop and my smaller case in it. Would this be too much for FE appts?

That's what I did. I had a small stack with a presentation binder I'd bring in and then I had a small filing box in my car with everything I needed, so if you're working with a bunch of carriers you could just leave two apps in your case you're bringing in and leave all the rest in the car for restocking.

I have been thinking about changing the way I do things when I cold call. In the past I have always carried my briefcase with me and the lead info in my hand but as of late I have had a problem with people not answering the door when you know they are in there.

I am thinking about leaving the briefcase in the car when coldcalling. They might be more apt to answer the door. In the past this hasn't been much of a problem but as of late it seems to be happening more and more. Just maybe it's time to change areas. I been working Muskegon for about 6 months. Still writing good business but people who don't answer the door tend to piss me off.

This is my bag..

Samsonite Underarm Portfolio Black by Office Depot

Very slim, low profile and well made. I carry a legal pad, apps, misc forms and an iPad with lots of room to spare..

I used to carry a Samsonite similar to that. A little larger. I always bought Samsonite/American Tourister because they were American and union made.

The last one I bought had a "made in China" tag so I'm done with them.

I carry a Targus bag now. This is the closest I could find to what I'm using;

Targus® TBT050US CityLite Laptop Case For 16" Laptops, Black/Gray | Staples®
