Broken Promises

An insurance company, polished and bright,
Stood tall with promises shining in light.
To agents who labored with loyalty true,
They offered the world—and then withdrew.

"Support," they said, "we’ll give without end,
Through every hardship, on us, depend."

But as agents hustled, as they toiled away,
The words lost meaning, began to fray.

The promises faded, replaced with delay,
Support turned scarce, trust led astray.

For every commitment once spoken bold,
Grew cold and brittle, like silver sold.

Commission once steady, now staggered thin,
And bonuses vanished like whispers of wind.

The agents left grappling, alone in the fight,
Their work unvalued, their futures slight.

So here lies a tale of profit and greed,
Of broken trust and unfed need.

An insurance company, grand in name,
Yet hollow of honor, too quick to blame.

For promises broken, no solace remains,
Just echoes of hope, and quiet refrains.

In the silence left by the hollow gain,
Agents bear the loss, and shoulder the pain.
