California Exchange - Working The 'Hood

I read a report on the board for the Cali. exchange.
They stated they think the exchange is going to be for low income families. They also talked about the serious issue of adverse selection. The other big thing they stated was that the subsidies are going to come in the form of tax credits.

And California is going to pay for this - how? Tax all those rich celebs that live in LA?

As a small tangent, in '93 I moved to Brea working for Wholesale Warehousing. We went out with a bag of "merch" which was generally toys and eletronics priced from $50 to $20. We hit business areas and residential door to door.

I was there for almost two years and my best areas were Compton, Inglewood, Lakewood, Long Beach....Zero problems. We got killed in areas like Redondo Beach and especially in ethnic areas to the north like Hacienda Heights, Glendora, etc...

This was of course all day time.

Arnold is out of work, so maybe you can get him to moonlight as a bodyguard.

Charlie Sheen is out of work as well. You could take him along, uh, just so he would have something to do.

yea...and the odds of making it out of Compton with that ipad are slim to none....so...how are you going to turn in your app's......
