I am a captive agent with an IMO selling Medicare insurance products. I hold 8 state licensed and am certified by about 20 carriers. I would like to become an independent agent/broker. How can I break contract and start over on my own?
Depends on your contract. If you can get out of your contract, you will need to transfer all of your appointments from that IMO to whatever your new upline is. If your current is willing to sign releases, it should be easy to do in January. If they aren't willing, it can still be done but it takes longer.
