I draft. I took my first not voided real check last week. I had to call to see if that was ok lol.

I have done both....And for some reason the people who don't like anyone in thier account, I find saying I agree most of my clients prefer to send in the first check but then find it is easiest to have thier bank send it in for you on the same day each month. I try to avoid the term " we will draft your account".

I prefer to draft, its just easier. But of course its really left up to the client's preference.

Wouldn't mind seeing persistency statistics of draft vs. direct bill though...

I am in the minority it seems. I collect 90% of the time. I will only draft if they request it. I used to draft if they wanted but I have noticed a decrease in my NTs.
