Celtic Ceases Writing Business in Three States

I assume the current rating is a result of the purchase of the company.

They were "A-" a few years ago before the purchase.

Joe Schultz. Ex-Manager. When he was mad, he said two words.

Sh*tfu*k or Fu*ksh*t

What a character.

This MLB bit of trivia was brought to you by Ryan Howard.

anybody bothered to check their little AM Best rating?? huh??

better check your E&O folks - the good ones won't cover companies rated like Celtic

I found their whole set up to be something Mickey would have set up (as in the Mouse)

Quit worrying about E & O Ins, don't you know it's all about the money!?!?!

Celtic
Rating: B++ (Good)
Financial Size Category: V ($10 Million to $25 Million)
Outlook: Stable
Action: Affirmed
Effective Date: February 19, 2010

As my Health Insurance Mentor likes to say, the "B" rated companies pay their claims charge less in premiums. "A" rated companies overcharge, nitpick claims and hoard the cash. This isn't a general rule of thumb, but it works great when you use it to open the conversation with a prospect who's getting shafted by one of the big guys.

E&O policies I've seen won't cover anything from a company rated less than A-

wholly incorrect
indicative of someone who writes the inferior rated companies because they're paying higher commissions

Not at all, JBage007. The best paying commission I have is from an "A-" rated company.

It's important to take objections off the table before they're raised. Prospects who have health insurance with big prestigious companies need to be told why big isn't the best. Prospects with lower-rated companies need to be told why big ins companies are better.

Is there a Sales Training sub-forum? Here isn't the place to discuss sales techniques. Have a great Friday!
