Certificate of Insurance ( Acord 25 )

well, let me ask this question, do you have another other policies with him?

Commercial auto, personal lines? If so, I would add ALL that up, since the other lines probaly arent as heavily serviced.....

The story is getting deeper... So I'm a small indy. Get a fair bit of biz from captive agents by writing things that they can't. Give them a little split and all is good. This was a referral from one of those agents who have all of his other policies. So no, I don't have any other policies attached to this guy. I'm thinking that I'll just ensure that all "monoline" GL policies will from now on have a broker fee attached to them. $250 in my pocket, or it just isn't worth my time.

Well, first of all, if you want good, right, common sense answers, you need to give us all the correct info.

How much money are you making from ALL of the referrals you are getting from this one agent? It's not always about 1 policy or 1 client.

So simply tell this client, the company is now charging $20 per cert, nothing you can do about it. I would venture to guess, the client probally doenst even need that many, he needs some of them to be kept on "the approved list" so that if someone needs to use him, they are on the list.

I have seen this before, and you watch, half those certs will go away because he doesnt want to pay just to be on the list.
