Christmas & New Years

My kids are getting old fast - these old FE geezers can wait a little longer for me.

Procrastinating is what they do best anyway, right? =).
:swoon::D

(My wife finally asked if she should schedule the fall AC service check!)

When I was in the field full time, the only days I took off completely were Christmas Day and Thanksgiving day. At worst, I would add in an extra day around both of those holidays, but I typically plan on being out and selling as much as possible no matter how inconvenient. I've always liked selling around the holidays. Folks can get busy for sure, but I find that I encounter a more cheerful demeanor at the door this time of year.

Haha I will agree, it is the best time to sell. I try not to take off except the actual days as well. If I am too stuffed after Thanksgiving, then I will take the day after off (especially to avoid the crazies driving around for black friday deals).

I work Monday through Saturday November/December ... I take off each of the holidays and the day before and the day after each holiday. Otherwise I run hard Nov/Dec so I can take off some days in January/February for snow or extreme cold.

I consider Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I will not take off 12/31 nor will I take off 1/2. In fact, I will probably door knock New Year's Day from 12 noon to 4 or 5 PM.

Are you taking Cyborg7's place, door knocking on holidays? If so, you'd better dress the part. :laugh:

Visited my 87 year old dad and 84 year old mom yesterday. Felt like a little kid again when I got a hug and kiss from each of them. Parenting is a failing forward business, just make sure your there... time moves fast and the pictures on the refrigerator are there to remind us. :yes:

I agree life is short. Thats why all the former pavement pounders recruit now.They want a life and time for their families.They're giving all the dream like Tony Robbins. Thats why you're seeing such saturation as 1000's of newbies come in to assault the dream. Pounding pavement yr after yr is a tough tough life.In 5 yrs i expect Ramiz's way of in bound calls to be the dominant lead generation method. 50% less people answer the phone than even 5 yrs ago. You either adapt or you'll be extinct.

In the old days, the only day I took off if a holiday fell on any day other than Sunday was Christmas Day. New Year's Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day were all work days. Not nay more.....

You keep saying that but there are quite a few long time producers who are happy not to recruit and keep right on pounding the pavement.

Come on man. Drink some koolaid every once in a while.

You could target door knockers from other industries that are sales, commission only and, possibly, guys that buy leads.

Get you 10 little Day's Doorknockers and there's your retirement.

It's that easy.
