CMS Expands Beyond MAPD?

Is there any doubt that the government will go after ALL senior products next? I'm sure it would be under the guise of "protecting the seniors." Obama is trying to "incorporate" underage health care into governmental control, so why not go after the whole shooting match? Everything will be one big Medicare-- nobody left out. And us agents, will be state or federal hacks, doing exactly what we are told and nothing more...

Haven't you figured out Obama wants goverment control of everything...He has a friggin Pay Czar....He wants to determine what people can make for a living, HE owns GM and Chrystler major shareholder in AIG and other financial companies...has told the banks what they can and can't do with credit cards and loans (oh and I love that so now a credit card company can't jack your rate if you become more of a risk that means 2 options option 1 every has a higher rate option 2 if you pose any risk no card for you) just wait for this to bounce back.

Everything Obama is doing needs to be rushed he needs to implement everything before the people understand the implications of his changes and push back against them at that point it will be too late.

Take Healthcare, I actually agree something needs to be done...I live in a GI state and the costs are outragous because of no competition, if you live in a underwritten state then you have competition and if healthy you bounce from plan to plan every couple of years and it keeps costs down...the problem is if your health changes your ability to bounce from plan to plan to keep costs down goes away and since the healthy people have left your plan the cost skyrocket, the problem here are these people are being responsible and are taking out insurance but the cost are rising on them and the system has some problems this is unlike LI or DI where once in your plan you have locked in your rate for life(WL,UL&DI) or 20-30 years till hopefully the need goes away with healthcare you can't lock into a plan today that will work for the rest of your life...

But on the side of reality do we want a plan that is thrown together in 2 months...they want the bill done before August recesse.

This has all been tried before. Why is it that Hillary abandoned similar aspirations for nationalized health care in the 90's? Did she see the train wreck that would surely follow? The difference now is the current administration has an impulsive compulsion to push legislation through without really thinking it through first. Or, can we blame the naive voters who elected this administration? Obama made no secret of his platform. Aren't we getting exactly what we deserve?
