CMS releases PDP and MAPD details

Anyone able to pull Missouri pdp details from the file and share here or email? I'm having issues getting past the first 5000 in Excel and that ends at Arkansas. Karl at Steinlage insurance dot com if you are offering.

This release reminds me of that late 1980's song by Fleetwood Mac....."Little Lies." "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies....."

The supposed "Inflation Reduction Act" is causing TONS of inflation all throughout Medicare.

Granted, SOME people taking high-priced tiers 4 and 5 drugs needed relief, but there were many other ways to do it without causing all this chaos and inflation elsewhere.

What they did by ramming this ridiculous policy through is they've just transferred all the costs for the people that are taking those high-priced medications to absolutely everyone.

Yay, socialism, right, Ms. LaShure-Chiquita-Brooks...whatever other names are included?

Medicare is a total ecosystem. When you affect one thing, it will affect all the others. Now many Medicare beneficiaries have RECORD high ASTRONOMICAL PDP monthly premiums, slashed benefits, higher prescription drug costs themselves, slashed extra benefits, higher copays, higher deductibles, slashed agent services/help, and I could go on.

You don't go from a $8,000 catastrophic bracket that still involves paying at least a little something to a hard $2,000 MOOP cutoff IN ONE GOD DAMN YEAR. That's insane.

I mean, what if someone takes absolutely no drugs. Why should they have to pay for this??

Import into Google Sheets then add column filter(s) to only show the data you want.

They didn't do it in "one god damn year". It was phased in - no catastrophic cost share in 2023 - and the entire industry has known exactly how this would look for two years.

I'm not giving a political opinion about whether the IRA is good or bad, but the negative consequences of it have been exaggerated. Is it expensive for taxpayers? Yeah. So it everything else the government does with entitlement programs.

And if someone takes no meds, they can still buy a dirt cheap Part D plan. There will be at least one very inexpensive (sometimes $0) option in almost every market. Usually 2 or 3 of them.

You're killin' yourself over this.

Here's a song for you. Lighten up a little.

It's important lurkers understand the truth. The regulars can just tune me out....I'm sure many have. I'm beyond tired of this government administration and their bullshit lies. Many of us are unnecesarily losing a lot of money of this, while our clients simultaneously get screwed, and I'm sick of it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are no free pdps in 2026, especially after the losses WC will experience and fire the bean counters

Anyone know if Clear Spring is still in Medicare jail?

And if not, do they pay commission?

TIA!
They are listed in my "Medicare & You" book as "At the time of printing, this plan is not allowed to accept new members."

And in the landscape spreadsheet, which is brand new, in the column called "Sanctioned Plan", the value for Clear Spring plans is "Yes".

FYI the premiums in California for their two plans for 2025, per the landscape file, are $4.00 and $70.60 respectively - I guess that would be applicable to existing enrollees. The more expensive plan is closer to $46 in most states.

As to commissions for enrollees remaining in their plans - that, I wouldn't know about.
