You can. But if you specially cross state lines to write insurance (e.g. taking a NY resident to NJ for "lunch" and you sign an app) you will get in to trouble. Again, you must have a reason (office, the client works there/lives there, etc) in order to not run afoul of the regs.

That's not what I meant at all! I mean buy leads and work a different area, not take NY residents to another state to write that's shady!

Find a border state not to far and an IMO that will train you and make the trip! I ran for weeks in end out of town when I started. That's a low comp with the splits and all IMO....

Thanks all. It's actually MMutual. And that's for the whole life products. I did close 3. 6 policies but they were family so I have not really begun to run with this as I should. I know a monumental here that would train for like 100% or so but it is a different market. I do know many young people who makes pretty
Good money but I don't know commission is quite low long term. What to do? I've been wavering too long but still undecided. I don't think training is that great.
