Hello everyone- thought I would post about our new blog, TheNewBroker.com since it covers exactly what you're asking for in the thread's original post.
TheNewBroker.com was created by Workable Solutions as a non-promotional, completely free resource for brokers to help them adapt to the digital revolution. Along the way, it's evolved into a full-scale marketing blog with tutorials on topics like social media for lead generation, creative partnerships, website development, and virtual networking. We recognize that brokers are natural salespeople but that marketing skills are a completely different animal. That's where TheNewBroker.com comes in. It begins at square one and the posts build on each other to gradually develop the marketing skills of the readership.
For example, we approach Twitter as a completely foreign beast. In the first blog post about Twitter, brokers learn what it is and how to use it. Then in part two, they learn how to really leverage the medium and use it to build business and generate their own leads.
I hope you'll see that this is in no way a promotional website. Workable Solutions sponsors it as a resource for brokers, and it does not cover our products or services at all nor does it feature advertising from other businesses. It doesn't require any type of payment or obligation. It's a fun read and certainly helpful. We've received lots of positive feedback already and will be adding supplementary webinars soon, too.
