Cross Selling FE (video)

I'll say this hands down without even hesitating . Maintaining and retaining a large book of mapd is 5000 times harder than selling fe . I fully understand why many agents don't want to screw with mapd especially the low income ones . Yesterday i fielded 46 calls for service . Today already 23. Fe at a high level is transactional . You rarely if ever hear from 80% of them . With mapd it requires massive work to get those massive renewals .
More work. But not necessarily harder.

MAPD agents cannot always transition to FE due to lack of sales ability. FE can easily transition to MAPD, because it's an easy sale but more service work.

The sale in mapd is super easy. It's the years of relationship building in duals / lis and really all mapd to retain the business . I'm not talking about getting a stack of dual leads and replacing . I'm talking about building a long term business. Im talking about fielding 75 calls a week from clients . I'm talking about calling all my clients 1-2 times a yr . I'm talking hand written birthday and Xmas cards . I'm talking about mailing out 200 gift cards a yr for referrals and building a machine . Few fe guys are built for that .Fe is a different type of sale . To master all types of sales is tough . I sell 10-12 fe a month with people calling me

DonP, what you're describing is just service work, not a special skill. Plenty of people can do that, even in entry-level jobs. Let's not confuse being able to service clients with sales ability—it's not the flex you think it is.

I quit doing MA simply because it doesn't pay enough.

It's the easiest sale in the business. In fact, it's not even sales. Its clerk work.

The maintenance and baby sitting is the work.

You see all these MA agents trying to get into selling FE and they fail miserably at life insurance.

That's double bs . Its having the ability to move them to the best plan yr in yr out .Its learning 150 plans in multiple states and 30 county's . I've seen 98% of fe guys do nothing in mapd . They make squat because there retention is trash because they never build relationships .I make more in mapd renewals than 99% of all fe salesman nationwide . I was selling 300k plus fe yr in yr out .Your nothing but a hamster on a wheel selling fe with crap renewals . I was 3 time court of the table,6 times million dollar round table before fe. You know what I'm not correct. I'm comparing me being at the top of the top nationwide with regular mapd guys . My bad. I'm cut from a different cloth than other agents. I was born to sell and thrive from when i was 8 yrs old knocking door to door with my lawnmower getting lawn jobs .

DonP, you're throwing out a lot of noise to sound superior, but let's break it down. Memorizing plans and answering client calls isn't some elite skill—it's customer service with extra steps.

Sure, renewals can be lucrative, but pretending that MA is a tougher grind than FE is laughable. The truth is, both require hustle, strategy, and adaptability. But FE actually requires the ability to sell, and MA doesn't.
