Cyclosporine decline for Aetna?

I just had a healthy woman declined said because she uses cyclosporine drops for dry eye as its declinable But Aetna Can't explain why that might be declinable

I had her for years using this med 1st with equitable then mutual neither had any issues with it

Does anyone know why this eye drop might be an issue?

That's odd. I just looked it up and couldn't find anything negative about it. It is on Aetna's KO list.

ACL and Lumico don't list it in their RX KO list.

I saw none of that when I looked it up. They use it for dogs too.

I just clicked her link and it said none of what she posted. Maybe she's smokin' a doobie.

I'll call Aetna Monday morning If they're too thick to get through I'll see who else is competitive only thing else she takes his cholesterol acid reflux and some basic anxiety medicine she should get approved anywhere

Restasis is commonly used for dry eye and comes in drops. Cyclosporine is the generic version but not available in the US.

I would appeal the Aetna rejection since your client has dry eye. Sounds like Aetna has a case of the stupids.
