Dateline Undercover on right now

The only trend you see is that if people don't see your point of view then they're wrong - just as if people don't see my point they're wrong.

Which is the "right" party - democrats - republican, independent, Green? We are simply debating a point. If you don't like entering a debate then I'd suggest not continuing with the subject.

My opinion is annuities should only be offered by trained financial experts. You want go to 40 more pages and try to change that opinion then be my guest.

So John, if a person is trained, and an expert (whatever that is) they can sell an annuity without owning it? Is that what you're saying now? Because I could have sworn that you stated that you shouldn't sell it if you don't own it. So which is it?

Also, tell us what level of training is required and from whom a person should receive that training. Do you think someone who has held a Series 6, 63 and 65 for 10 years and taken all the CFP courses is qualified? Or do they need more training? I'd like to know because I want to live up to your standards.

And as for changing your mind, you already stated that you wouldn't be changing your mind. But I believe that to be in reference to anyone who sells an annuity should own one.

I'm sure for a few moments, you thought MEGA was the best thing since sliced bread, but you changed your mind about that. So see, there's hope for you yet. You've proven that you're not so narrow-minded that you can't change.

I sleep at night knowing I'm very well trained on the products I offer and the products my prospect currently has. If you feel you're well trained on the products you offer and the products they current have then it's all good isn't it.

I didn't used to be well trained but thought I was. When presented with evidence....from a message board....that I was indeed not well trained I quit and restructured what I was doing.

If I were you, I'd look inward the same way I did back in 2003. Don't be too set in your mentality. You're allowed to be wrong. In fact, never being able to admit you're wrong is personality flaw that I can't help.
