Wow! I love it... Why shld business owners hide it anyway. Customers (& employees especially) will "pay" regardless, might as well tell them up front what they are paying for.

His "surcharge" wont go into effect till 1/14. This is just his way to raise awareness for obamas "trickle down" obama care costs.
He will either rally other resturant owners to blatantly name their $$ increases, or he will never implement the surcharge and pass costs to employees/customers without them knowing.
I appreciate his boldness, but im not a shareholder.

There is just the start. Papa Johns and Jimmy Johns have spoken out publicly about reducing employee hours to avoid the extra expense. Congrats to the votes who voted for Obama! You just voted to increase consumer goods and reduce consumer incomes!!!

While some people like to bury their heads in the sand, all business owners pass on costs to consumers. It's called Econ 101. My kids ortho stated the 3.2% medical device cost on braces/retainer will be passed on his clients too. My concern is he went about this the wrong way, as some people will protest and boycott his business because they don't like the truth. He should just raise prices, and have employees explain why, when asked by patrons. Some people will get "nasty" over this.

Unless there is something in his franchise agreement specifically regulating prices, corporate has no basis for taking such action.

Now if he refused to serve BHO voters, that would be different.

I bet there is plenty in the contract about damaging the brand value.

This could be a big deal or a big flop. Either way it could bring awareness to what could happen down the road.

Of course this is not going to go through, but sure does grab you of what could be a big backlash of businesses, which ultimately leads to less jobs and more on welfare.

Its an act like Chick filet did here in FL with there Christian stance on gay marriages. It will get attention bottom line.
