If I choose to make something of myself and gain financial success I should not be taxed higher because others who have the same opportunity in life choose not too. It's time for people to wake up and make a choice; work hard or be lazy; either we select our own destiny.

Somarco, I am a few years older than you and a bit wiser. I served in the Army in 1954-5, graduated college, sold supplemental health care policies as beginner. That was the US Postal employees, and Teamsters. Didn't realize then who got wealthy. And really thought any insurance thing had to be legitimate. At least so it sounded.. Then came the the domino effect and the lies that perpetuated Vietnam. and of course the values and morals of the country started its decline. Just think what might have been if Gen. Eisenhower was removed from command because of his indiscretions. So here we are with so called experienced agents like you who has been blindfolded by financial success. You are right, I don't have a clue. I just hope that the hundred thousands + insurance agents can afford a couple hundred dollars each to lend a voice to how important agents can be.
Unfortunately most of those hundred thousand agents either can't afford to pay or won't pay to protect their business. Can you imagine the voice that we can raise and be recognized if we all stopped submitting apps for a month. The agents are still low man on the totem poll. and there are many who will work in a phone room or a desk job for 12-15/hr. So agents like you will be Willy Lohman. That is why I am out of the business. It will allow you many more prospects. And, yes , I have voted for a number of Republicans. This is not a political issue. It is a breakdown of morals and values that has spread to all areas of a successful society. I wish you well.
