Disabilty,Medicaid Clients

Not surprised but when did they announce this as i've not seen it.I'm licensed with them and every other week their phone lines are down.No Mib or Rx check seems to ruin co's. Look how much Aetna raised rates due to claims from no Rx or Mib.

1 star always did an MIB. They added an Rx check several years ago.

None of that had anything to do with their demise. They were managed to death.

I suppose the announcement was today? Maybe some others knew before today?

It's just putting dirt on the casket. They have been dead a long time.

A ton of Upheaval in the Fe space this yr. Rate increases from 3 of the bigger players(Americo,Foresters and Aetna). American Memorial terminating most of their agents and now 5 star leaving the business. I think co's are seeing when they pay out 150% plus Fyc and 10-15% renewals with slack underwriting its tough to make money. One of the easier underwriting co's Trans who's written a ton of Fe could be the next to bite the bullet and raise rates.

Trans raised rates a couple years ago. I'm glad I don't share the sky is falling attitude.

This is just business as usual. Companies get in and out of the FE business all the time. Chesapeake was a pretty good player years ago. Companies that are clueless about the FE market sell a bill of goods to clueless FE IMO's and vice versa.

The FE agents that are long term just roll with the tide.
