DNC List Scrubbing?

Is there a site to enter a number to see if its on the DNC list for free? Just a number here and there.

If you have a large list that needs scrubbed do you buy software or pay to have it done for you? What company or software do you use? What is the cost?

Thanks in advance!!

Good advice, but a couple words of caution.

1. Some states also have a DNC list, different than the national.
2. Make sure you register before making calls.
3. Read the FTC regulations on DNC on the internet. They even can apply to your current clients and the fines are horrendous.

We maintain a list of over 1,500,00 agents and occasionally have it phone matched. We have gone from 75% phones to 35% as DNC changes so rapidly.

Why would an agents number be on the do not call list? Unless you have personal numbers.....

You can buy the software to do list scrubbing for around $89. Then you need access to the DNC list, first 5 area codes are free, $55 per additional area code.

Once that is done, the number of numbers you scrub doesn't impact cost at all, except.....

In my experience, out of that 25000 numbers, you might have 10000 that are NOT on the DNC list. Out of those, a few might get answered.

Also, you have to scrub at least monthly.

Dan Your explanation is correct.
Do not forget to register yourself for calling though.

The reason we have agent home numbers is that in a typical state 40% are business addresses, 55% home, and 5% PO boxes. Plus in a state only 8% to 14% of the total life/health agents belong to an association.

A list company is prohibited from selling (renting) cell phone numbers. To get around this go to Google and enter in the Name and city if needed. If they are posting it on the internet, that is pretty much a green light to call.
