Do You Like the "Pretty Girl" Pop-up Video on Sites?

Sexy girls sell well to insurance agents because most of us are superficial jerks (myself included)...that's why you see it so often on sites selling products to agents.

I wouldn't do this on a site selling to the general public, it's a much classier clientele.

Just my opinion...

I guess you guys are insurance site focused but this trend has been "popping up" in every realm across the Internet.

Using the online "comment box" on their website, I wrote Data Depot a polite and simple note saying that they should take down the animated model.

Please dump the intrusive loud video on your home page and I'll buy a list (several) from you. Everyone hates these things and only the most un-professional kinds of businesses use them. Whatever web-designer told you otherwise is totally wrong
.

Is it just me or does someone need to explain "polite" to Al?
Probably just me:goofy:

Dan, are you shilling for Data Depot these days?

Otherwise, what is your point here... to dump on me... at Data's request... for "consideration?"

I'm just asking. No offense intended, as I'm sure you didn't mean any toward me either.

No,
Not for any personal gain
No, just thought if I read your "polite" comment out loud, most would not interpret it as polite

Well, thank you for your analysis. I'm sure you, of all people, know how "most" would interpret it.

I will be sure to tell my many friends in Pennsylvania to contact you and Jessica Durphy for their home/auto plans.

I just know you both will do the exact same thing for me.

Why guys (in this venue) like you go out of your way to make enemies always makes be assume (which makes an a$$ out of YOU and ME) that you really don't quite "get it" when it comes to marketing.

And yeah, I'm sure you believe I don't know anyone in PA. Fine. Believe what you want. However I do own this and this... and I do have a nationally distributed newsletter... and I kind of know people all over the country... but perhaps not in PA!

Bottom line you brought up an old thread just to dump on me. Well, son, actions DO have consequences. Why you wanted to make an enemy for life I surely do not know.

You're a stand-up guy Dan. No doubt about it.
